| Abstract: | The work is a general synthesis of the main problems of the
centralized heating systems (SACET), used nowadays in Romania. The work
reviews the SACET development in Romania, highlighting the current
problems encountered especially due the oldness of the equipments,
disconnecting of the customers and variable end user demand load. Finally,
some considerations about the modernization of SACET and the growth of its
