Abstract: Experimental results from an ongoing research dealing with rigidity, stability and strength of the composite panels made of different species of wood lamellas fingerjointed on length and edge jointed on width, are presented. This paper is intended to give a brief overview of the results experimentally obtained by bending finger-jointed laminations and glue line between lamellas made of different species of hardwood. The most common way of evaluating the strength of finger joints is probably by bending finger-jointed laminations. This method is preffered because it is much easier to make a bending test than a tensile test.
