Abstract: The paper shows some theoret cal aspects concern ng the analyt cal modell ng of the dynam cal behav our of a compos te plate (free v brat ons, compos te plate w th clamped edges). To s mpl fy the mathemat cal model, only the case of the plate made of a symmetr c lam nated compos te mater al s cons dered. Beg nn ng from the equat on of mot on, the modal analys s cons sts n seek ng of both natural frequenc es and natural mode shapes of v brat ons to completely descr be the dynam cal behav our of such a compos te plate. Then, the model s used to analyse the dynam cal behav our of a plate made of an epoxy res n un d rect onal re nforced w th cont nuous -glass f bres. From boundary cond t ons po nt of v ew, the work analyses only the case of all edges embedded. F nally, the results obta ned n case of the part cular plate nvolved, w ll be compared w th the results obta ned by f n te element analys s (F A).The small values of the error shows the accuracy of the numer cal model proposed to analyse dynam cal behav our of any plate made of lam nated compos te mater al.
