Abstract: Wood and wooden based material recycling as part of wood engineering is an important scientific research field. In this paper are presented the results from adhesion tests of different coatings on the melaminated surfaces of particleboard recovered from old furniture. The tests were made according to ISO 2409 : 2007 Paints and varnishes - Cross-cut test. Results show that 77 % of the tested coatings have good adhesion to the substrate (class 1 or 0) regardless to the nature of the substrate (totally pickled by sanding, partially pickled, unpickled).
