Abstract: : The aim of this paper is to make available to the reader, in a condensed form, the various aspects of the Euler-Poincaré formula. The presentation begins with an inductive proof of the formula for manifold solids, along with other useful forms. Throughout the presentation the theory is verified using practical examples. The definitions for characterizing manifold and non-manifold solids are introduced. The paper ends with the presentation of Euler-Poincaré formula for non-manifold solids.
