Title: CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF PROSTHETIC ELEMENTS BY RAPID PROTOTYPING
Authors: RADU, Ciprian
Issue Date: 2009
Publisher: Transylvania University of Brasov
Abstract: The human bone skeleton trauma represents a major problem of public health in industrial world. The incidence of these depends of socio-economical and cultural factors, consisting most of the posttraumatic deaths and at the same time the most frequent permanent handicap producer. Starting with these considerations, the PhD. thesis called “Contribution to the study of prosthetic elements by Rapid Prototyping”, proposes to accomplish theoretical and experimental researches in the vast domain of osteosynthesis implants. The thesis combines the domain of CAD modeling of mechanical bodies with the medical domain for information and image process, essential data extraction and modeling, in order to improve the prosthetic method of some anatomical segments, more precisely the development of a new osteosysnthesis implant used for transsindesmotic fractures.
