Abstract: Latticed beams are met in aerospace structures from the beginnings of aircraft, being used a big variety of materials, configurations and joints. Paper presents representative solutions used on primary structure from the first aircrafts to the moment semimonocoque structures became a standard. It is shown the evolution of latticed beam joints was not a linear and smooth process, an analysis of factors influencing and possible explanations being stated.
