Abstract: This paper contains comparisons between behavior of the towing bars used at vehicles. Starting from an usual towbar used at Audi A5 made by steel, there were built other towbars: one made by carbon fibers, two types of aluminum alloys and one made by pure aluminum. The other towbars had the same dimensions as the original one. After manufacturing of the towbars, these were tested on a traction machine, simulating brakeage of the assembly made by vehicle and its trailer.
