| Abstract: | Taking into consideration the importance of soil investigations for
geotechnical design, the paper makes an analysis of the factors influencing
geotechnical parameters of foundation ground. It is analyzed, first of all, the
geological particularities effect on the foundation ground for sites in urban areas,
with a large number of buildings in the vicinity and with an intense process of
construction. Based on this analysis there are presented some criteria to select in
situ investigation tests to solve some of the main problems in geotechnical
engineering. For each ground category there are presented some considerations
about the most important geotechnical parameters characterizing failure criteria
and the influencing factors. |
