Abstract: The analysis of the last years, statistical data signals an increasing of the road accidents number caused by the medical problems appearing during driving. In order to prevent the number of these road accidents, it is proposed to develop a monitoring system of vital and non-vital parameters that will be able to return driver related information. In the first part of the paper, the theoretical foundations and the importance of monitoring these vital functions at any moment (pulse, temperature) will be deepened. In the second part of the work, the construction of a system for monitoring these parameters located on the wheel will be described. The system will be developed on the base of an Arduino acquisition board. By analysing these parameters the system can automatically notify the driver of his predisposition to an accident. The information collected by the system will be easily stored, downloaded and analysed for later use as the basis for starting a specialized investigation. In the final part of the work, the possibilities of construction and applicability of this device in the daily vehicle will be presented.
