Abstract: The first part of the paper deals with criteria and methods to control systems absolute stabilization. The second part focuses on variational methods and systems optimal control methods: Lurie, Euler-Lagrange and Pontreaguine principles to obtain minimal time or optimal fuel or energy consumption. The examples included in the paper are from mechanics, electromagnetism, hydro-aero-dynamics, etc.
