Abstract: In the current conditions of full wood recovery, the problem of finding the most efficiency bonding solutions remains permanently open. At the same time market requirements as the product be environmentally friendly and easy to recycle lead the authors of this paper to looking for technologies that ensure these requirements. Wood welding technology as an alternative method of joining elements or wooden structures is the technology that we stopped with more so since has not been addressed so far in Romania. The paper is based on a theoretical studies performed by author and shows the experimental results of some wooden structures that can be achieved by activating lignin, as binder, without the use of adhesives.
