Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of the influence of the four most common types of misalignment shapes on the continuous welded rail track (CWR) stability under the effect of thermal and vehicle loads. There were quantified the limit temperatures (Tb,min and Tb,max) , which characterize the buckling of the rail. It was identified the most dangerous shape of misalignment for alignment and respectively for curves, based on the safety criteria from UIC 720 Leaflet [5], [8].
