Abstract: In this paper we study the solvability of non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations for the flow of an incompressible viscous fluid, using the abstract Fourier Method. Both linear and nonlinear cases are treated. By this method, we obtain the existence and the uniqueness of the strong solution of the problem, which is the classical solution of the abstract problem. We construct effectively the solution as a Fourier series, using the sequence of orthonormal eigenfunctions of the duality mapping between a Hilbert space and its topological dual, which, in our case, is Stokes operator
