Abstract: The paper presents new results on the dynamics of blood flow in the Willis circle, by taking into account the non-Newtonian nature of the blood through a Quemada model. This model is embedded in a standard analysis of a complex network of pipes, which is in fact the Willis circle from the hemodynamics point of view. Flow-rates in the arteries and pressures in their junctions are obtained and compared with those corresponding to the Newtonian case.
