Abstract: The paper analyses the flow in the meridional section of the centrifugal and mixed impellers. To underline better the assumptions, limitations and accuracy of analytical models and relations, we used the Navier-Stokes equations to obtain them, instead of the classic balance of basic forces. INCDT COMOTI has developed a quasi three-dimensional in-house code, which solves the Navier-Stokes equations in order to decrease the design time of centrifugal and mixed impellers
