Abstract: Desiccant evaporative cooling represents an attractive alternative to conventional air cooling system with electric vapor compression. This is the reason why the present paper is focused on studying the behavior of DEC unit, especially on the desiccant wheel operation. Based on the original mathematical model of heat and mass transfer at the solid desiccant-air interface, the computer simulation was developed to analyze the evolution of the main process parameters.
