| Abstract: | During vehicle life span there are some components which require to be replaced and a natural question is „What
type of spare part to use?” Is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part the best option or should we consider the spare
parts manufactured by other producers ? The article intends to present several issues from Romanian legislation and to show
a certification procedure as a spare part applied to a crank shaft.The procedure is supervised by the institution of Romanian
Automotive Register (RAR ) meeting the requirements of European legislation.The certification procedure presented is a
relevant case study for students attending Automotive Engineering at Transylvania University Brasov and OvidiusUniversity
Constanta. |
