Authors: PAP, Lehel-Levente
Abstract: The topic of the present dissertation deals with the study and manufacturing of a forging die by using a numerical guided milling machine. With the help of this die forged parts are being made for the Michelin factory.2010-11-22T22:00:00ZSUSTAINABILITY ANALYSIS OF CUTTING KNIVES FOR COLD STAMPING DEVICESKOVACS, Mihalyhttp://hdl.handle.net/123456789/402011-01-11T11:17:18Z2010-11-22T22:00:00ZTitle: SUSTAINABILITY ANALYSIS OF CUTTING KNIVES FOR COLD STAMPING DEVICES
Authors: KOVACS, Mihaly
Abstract: Most components of cold forming dies are subject to continuous wear and dynamic compression. In the case of the cutting dies, the components that most subject to wear are the cutting tools. Since this is a simple process from a physical point of view, the cutting process is relatively simple to model in a virtual environment. In the early design stages it is essential a durability analysis of the cutting tools to optimize their design for efficient operation.
Description: The paper presents a relatively simple method for determining the fatigue life of the cutting tools. CAD model of a cutting tool is analyzed with finite element method using the commercial package of ANSYS Workbench 12.0, to determine the maximum deformation and maximum stress occurring during an applied load of a force F. The results are then used to determine the durability of the cutting tool. The analysis gives the end number of cycles and the amount of material that needs to be removed while resharpening the cutting tool.2010-11-22T22:00:00ZGEARS PROFILE SCANNING WITH A 3D COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINESLORINCZ, Emilhttp://hdl.handle.net/123456789/392011-01-11T11:19:53Z2010-11-22T22:00:00ZTitle: GEARS PROFILE SCANNING WITH A 3D COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINES
Authors: LORINCZ, Emil
Abstract: Measurement is an integral part of our everyday lives. It is something that most people take for granted.
In more recent times, the emphasis on Statistical Process Control (SPC) for quality improvement has accelerated the demand for faster and more accurate measurements. Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) have become more capable to fulfill these growing requirements.
As computer-aided design (CAD) has become more popular, reverse engineering has become a viable method to create a 3D virtual model of an existing physical part for use in 3D CAD, CAM, CAE or other software. The reverse-engineering process involves measuring an object and then reconstructing it as a 3D model.
The purpose of this paper is to examinate a process of reverse engineering (trough scanning the surface of two gears), scan points on a surface, make a solid 3d part from the point cloud, and after that for validating the process, there will be made a measurement of the gears based on the model.2010-11-22T22:00:00ZSTUDY ON GLARE INFLUENCE AND MEASURING PARAMETERS TO DISPLACEMENT TRANSDUCERS ACCURACY WITH SOURCENICOARA, Maria Magdalenahttp://hdl.handle.net/123456789/302011-01-11T11:18:14Z2010-11-21T22:00:00ZTitle: STUDY ON GLARE INFLUENCE AND MEASURING PARAMETERS TO DISPLACEMENT TRANSDUCERS ACCURACY WITH SOURCE

Abstract: The aim of the research is to evaluate experimentally the performances of the measuring device depending by two main parameters to be analyzed: the brightness and the entraining speed of the tested probe in the measuring gauge. The experimental research object was a probe representing a part of a technological rule, in order to evaluate, as proper as possible, the measuring parameters. Knowing that the EXCEL files obtained due to the in real time measuring of the probe’s form deviation when step by step and also when dynamic entrained does not offer any efficient or rapid information on the results, for a statistical processing of the data there was developed a software application using the Lab VIEW environment.2010-11-21T22:00:00Z
